What Is the OneKey MLS?

The OneKey MLS (Multiple Listing Service) covers Long Island, the Hudson Valley and all five boroughs of New York City.

The OneKey MLS is the most widely-used MLS system in Long Island and the Hudson Valley, while in NYC it is less commonly used than the REBNY RLS broker database operated by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).

The OneKey MLS is a partnership between the Long Island Board of Realtors and the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors.

OneKey went live on March 24th, 2020, and it currently features more than 47,000 listings.

The MLS was formed in 2020 through the merger of MLS Long Island (MLSLI or the Long Island Board of Realtors, also known as LIBOR) and the Hudson Gateway MLS (HGMLS or HGAR). Post-merger, there are over 44,000 agents who subscribe to OneKey.

The 29,000 members of MLS Long Island and the 14,000 members of the Hudson Gateway MLS continue to use their original, respective systems for uploading, editing and viewing listings. However, a listing entered into either the HGMLS or the MLSLI is now visible to members of both former systems.

HGMLS and MLSLI use different lockbox systems, Supra and SentriLock, respectively, and the two separate systems will continue to function until contracts expire. At that time, OneKey will investigate using one lockbox system provided by OneKey MLS. Supra users are not allowed to give out one-day codes to members of HGAR, but Supra users are required to give them to OneKey subscribers outside of that market.
